Live-in au-pair Fulham

We are a looking for a live in au pair to start work on 1 September 2009. We have twins, a boy and a girl who are 7 years old. We live in Fulham, SW6 which is a fun and busy area of central London and which has good language schools nearby.

The basic hours are 30 hours per week plus two evening babysitting sessions per week, one of which may be at the weekend. The hours are as follows:

Monday 6.45 - 8.45am
Tuesday 6.45- 8.45, 1.30-7.00pm
Wednesday 6.45-8.45, 1.30-7.00pm
Thursday 6.45-8.45, 1.30-7.00pm
Friday 6.45-8.45, 1.30-5.00pm

We would like someone who is prepared to be flexible with these hours and who can work more hours, for extra pocket money, when the children are on half term and during school holidays and who will stay at home with them if either of them are ill and unable to go to school.

The job will involve: getting the children up in the morning; giving them breakfast; taking them to school on the bus; in the afternoon there will be some light housework i.e. family ironing and putting the laundry on before going to pick the children up from school; helping them with their homework; cooking them supper; and giving them a bath. We have a cleaner so there will be no heavy housework involved.

We provide food and you will have your own bedroom with a TV and PC with Broadband. You will share a bathroom with the children. Your pocket money will be £90 a week together with a monthly bus pass worth approximately £55. You will have 2 weeks paid holiday per year.

We are looking for someone who:
* has previous experience of looking after children and who can provide an English speaking reference;
* speaks and writes English to a good standard in order to assist the children with their homework;
* is fun and enjoys spending time with children ie. taking them to the park/playing games;
* is prepared to commit for at least 12 months; and
* is a non-smoker.
